Garden Supplies (biochar, wool pellet fertilizer)

Fall is the time to put your garden beds to rest and bring your pet plants back inside. While you can certainly tuck in your garden with a blanket of neglect, fall also presents an opportunity to juice up your garden so it can experience strong growth in the spring. We recommend applying sea kelp meal, biochar, wool pellet fertilizer, compost, and then at least four inches of mulch so your garden biology can continue to thrive throughout the winter under the ice and snow. Stop by Again & Again Farmstead to purchase biochar and wool pellet fertilizer.

The Bakery Band

Live Music

The Tamworth Farmers’ Market is spoiled with all the musical talent in the area. Folk, Rock, Pop, Traditional, and Bluegrass music have all been performed at the farmers’ market. The fall markets wrap up the musical guest season at the market before we switch to a much less fancy winter market. What is more fun than loading up your groceries and gifts while listening to live music? Let our farmers feed your body and our musicians feed your soul.

Community Support (buy directly from farmers & makers)

When you support local farmers, not only do you get fresh, flavorsome food of the highest quality, but you learn where your food comes from and where your money ends up. You don’t get foods full of additives and preservatives, or foods with a huge carbon footprint attached. Instead you get food harvested at it’s peak flavor, just a few miles away.

When you support local craftsmen, you benefit from unique, durable goods which make gifts that come with a story. You get to meet the maker of the products, and have opportunity to learn the complex ways their crafts are made.

The connections you can make when buying local can last a lifetime. It’s good to keep traditions alive and help small economies thrive, so we can lessen our environmental footprints and ensure a future full of riches for the next generation.
