Shepherdess Peg DeLong has been raising Navajo Churros for years and has developed a loyal following at the farmers’ market. Navajo churros are known for their high-quality mild lamb flavor and for their colorful fleeces. Peg offers the usual lamb cuts including lamb sausage.
Again & Again Farmstead
Amy and Ethan Sager raise heritage English lamb on silvopasture and fields on Macdonald Hill in Tamworth. Their flock of Clun Forest sheep originally hails from Shropshire on the border of England and Wales. They are breed for high quality red meat that is considered mild, but flavorsome. A local market patron’s testimony says, “It tastes like Filet Mingon!”

New to the Famers’ Market this weekend is Nicole from Notta Farm in Effingham. She will be bring locally raised chicken and duck meat.
