Saturday August 9th, John Penoyar and Bill Rich will be bringing their mandolin and acoustic guitar to pepper us at the Tamworth Farmers’ Market with some grass-roots, country-infused blues!
John and Bill are two of the five members of Buckshot, a country-esque, blues band from the Burlington Vermont Area who is quite likely to go full rock-and-roll. Buckshot takes aim at familiar yet rarely-paired songs, mixing Lucinda and Hank Williams with Lou Reed, T-Bone Walker, The Pretenders, and Hot Tuna, along with the likes of Al Green, Sam the Sham & the Pharaos, David Bowie, and The Band.
In their own words:
“We like to let if fly, not hitting much on the dot,
Looking for a new car, might take the whole lot.“
Buckshot is a lot of fun! Checkout their single Sugaree below.
