The NH Mushroom Company is hosting their second annual Fungi Funday! It’s on July 20th, 2025 11am-4pm at their farm on 153 Gardner Hill Road in Tamworth. Directions here.
It’s a casual family event with something for all ages. They will have a mushroom id table where you can get some pointers on how to identify mushrooms. They encourage people to pick mushrooms they find where they live and bring them over for identification.
There will be an informal forage walk and many kids activities to include mushroom art. Dunks mushrooms will be there along with Mike Vandercook who partners with the NH Mushroom company on their mushroom tinctures and their famous mushroom coffee. Vandercook will also be giving a talk on the medicinal properties of mushrooms.
There’s even something for the fiber artist as they will be hosting a Mushroom dying class. You can learn to make cool patterns with various mushroom dyes.
As if you didn’t have enough reasons to go, they’ll also be offering some amazing tacos with delicious Oyster and Shitake mushrooms. While you are enjoying your tacos, you can peruse the offerings from several quality vendors in the pop-up market running there throughout the day.
